Hollywood co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have made no secret of the fact that they want to bring top-flight football to North Wales. They are prepared to welcome more investors on board while taking aim at that ambitious target.

With big money continuing to be spent, ex-Wales international Savage – who is a Wrexham native – believes the Red Dragons can push towards the Promised Land. He does have the odd concern regarding their style of football under Phil Parkinson, but admits anything is possible.
GettyWHAT ROBBIE SAVAGE SAID
Savage has told : “Wycombe, I think, are now a point behind Wrexham. I’ve seen both teams play. To be fair, Wycombe and Wrexham, I can’t believe both are up there. They’ve done amazingly well to be up there. I think there’s better teams over the course of the season, but they’re there on merit.
“Listen, I’ve watched all the teams in League One, there’s some very, very good sides. You’ve got to say, Wrexham play their way, and they do it really, really well and are effective. I like Wrexham, I like them, but they didn’t play well against Reading when I went to see them. A young Reading side dominated Wrexham.
“Out of all those teams, I hope Wrexham finish second, I really do. They’d have a chance in the Championship, they would, with the owners, with what they can bring in. I think they’d be looking at play-offs. Honestly, they can bring in the players. Look at the size of the club now, they’re flying!”
