Tottenham fans were furious with the performance of their full backs on Sunday, and in order to restore what is a trademark part of a Mauricio Pochettino side they must move for Fulham wonderkid Ryan Sessegnon.
What’s the word?
Well, Tottenham fell to their sixth league defeat of the season on Sunday, and it was due in no small part to some really poor full back play.
Kieran Trippier gave the ball away in the build-up to the game’s only goal, and Ben Davies’ poor positioning, awareness and total lack of recovery speed has infuriated fans all season.
Sessegnon could easily replace Davies in the squad, and work as an understudy to the experienced Danny Rose while also providing cover further up the pitch.
The youngster’s versatility will make him a key part of Pochettino’s squad, and if the Cottagers are doomed to relegation then Daniel Levy could grab himself a bargain deal for the 18 year-old.

Perfect for Poch?
Perhaps due to the financial restrictions from the club, Pochettino clearly loves signing players who can help him in multiple positions and systems, and Sessegnon ticks this box.
The speedy youngster can play anywhere down the left flank, meaning he would be perfect if the boss opts for a back three, giving the full backs license to bomb down the wings.
Since winning Championship player of the season last year with 16 goals and eight assists, he has found two goals and five assists in his first season in the top flight.
The England Under-21 international does not possess electric speed, but he has the burst of quickness required to skip past players and whip dangerous ball into the box, something Harry Kane would love.
Overlapping runs and crosses from the full back are a huge source of chance creation in Pochettino’s system, and the club must start searching for the next big thing before Trippier and Davies are well and truly past it.
Sessegnon would add an extra dose of creativity and youthful exuberance to Pochettino’s attack, all the while learning how to become an elite left back working under the full back whisperer.
So, Spurs fans, would you back a move for Sessegnon? Or would you rather someone with more experience? Let us know your thoughts by voting in the poll below…
