Jimenez only joined the club in December 2023 after spells with the Washington Spirit and the USWNT but has seen his contracted terminated after violating the league's "non-fraternization policy", by allegedly engaging in a relationship with a Kansas City Current player, according to .

The NWSL's policy applies to all personnel and forbids "any romantic and/or sexual relationships or encounters, even when consensual, with any employee (including NWSL players or trialists) over whom they currently have direct or indirect supervisory authority or management influence.”
Jimenez's sacking follows on from Houston Dash's decision to fire goalkeeping coach Matt Lampson in March due to an alleged relationship with a player.
WHAT KANSAS CITY CURRENT SAID
The club said in a statement to : "When we learned of (Jimenez’s) actions in violation of club and league policies, he was immediately terminated. We remain committed to making sure our policies and practices ensure a safe space for our players and our staff.”
