AC Milan defeated Verona 1-0 in Serie A on Saturday, courtesy of a 75th minute winner from Mexico international Santiago Gimenez. The 23-year-old combined with Portuguese winger Rafael Leao for the lone goal, despite a dominant performance from Sergio Conceicao's men.
U.S. international Yunus Musah started and played the entire contest, while fellow American Christian Pulisic was introduced to the contest with 22 minutes to spare off the bench.
With three points, Milan sit seventh in Serie A, just one point out of European competition in the league standings and five points out of a UCL spot.

Musah was deployed on the right wing for Milan after missing last week's UCL match due to a red card suspension, so he arrived to the pitch with fresh legs. He put on a blistering performance, nearly scoring a belter of an effort late in the second half.
But his strike just went by the top corner of the net in the 70th minute. In total, the American registered 52 touches on the ball, while completing 35 of 40 attempted passes.
Gimenez, meanwhile, started, bagging his second Serie A goal in the 75th minute before being subbed off in the 81st, with England international Tammy Abraham replacing him.
Pulisic arrived off the bench in the 68th minute, helping secure all three points, while promptly being rested for the majority of the match ahead of their big week in Europe.
