After an initial bid was deemed insufficient by the French club, Milan are preparing a new offer worth €22 million (£19m/$26m), including bonuses, according to. Strasbourg, however, continue to hold out for €30m (£26m/$35m) for the right-back.

Milan had shown interest in Almería defender Pubill, but he has since agreed to join Atletico Madrid after they swooped in to challenge Wolves, who reportedly made a superior bid for him. Coach Massimiliano Allegri has been determined to strengthen on both sides of the defence and hopes Doue, the brother of Paris Saint-Germain attacker Desire, will fill in at right-back.
