Alexis Mac Allister has explained why he did not return for the second half of Liverpool's 1-0 win at Crystal Palace.

The Argentine international was replaced at the break by Dominik Szoboszlai in Liverpool's win at Palace on Saturday afternoon. Although he could not continue, the former Brighton star said "nothing will stop me" after feeling a "slight discomfort" during the contest – suggesting he won't be out for long.

Mac Allister has proven to be an excellent addition since signing from Brighton in the summer of 2023 for around £35 million ($45.9m). The 25-year-old is a key cog in Liverpool's midfield and manager Arne Slot will hope he will be fit and available for their next match after the international break as they look to preserve their lead at the top of the Premier League.
