The Blues, who set a new benchmark in English football with an astonishing 111-point haul in League One, are now being tipped to challenge for promotion from the Championship. They broke the previous points record of 106, held by Reading since their 2005–06 Championship-winning season, to emerge as the side with the most points in English football history.

Throughout the campaign, Birmingham demonstrated a balance of attacking flair and defensive solidity that few clubs could contend with. They concluded the season as the highest scorers in the league with 84 goals while simultaneously boasting the stingiest defence, conceding just 31.

Former Chelsea striker and lifelong Birmingham City supporter Tore Andre Flo has added his voice to the growing chorus of optimism as he believes that with the right mindset and momentum, the Blues could be on course for back-to-back promotions.
"It seems like if you get yourself going, things take care of themselves in a way," he told . "Momentum is just as important as big signings in the EFL. Games come so quickly, you just feel like you're winning every time. That's what they need to get into. There’s no reason for Birmingham to feel like a ‘newly promoted’ side this coming season.
