Former Chelsea and Atletico Madrid star Alvaro Morata is all set to leave AC Milan after just one season, as Como sent a proposal to sign the forward. Morata moved to Milan last July but played for just six months at the club before being sent out on a loan deal with an option to buy to Turkish giants Galatasaray, where he won the Super Lig title.

The Spaniard is now set to return to AC Milan after his loan spell in Turkey ended. According to , AC Milan are unwilling to retain the striker this summer as the striker has received a proposal from Cesc Fabregas-managed Como. Negotiations are now underway between the player and the Italian side.

The 32-year-old ex-Real Madrid star had an impressive outing for Galatasaray this year, as in six months he appeared in 12 league matches, where he scored six goals and provided three assists. Before heading to Turkey, Morata had played 16 Serie A matches for the Rossoneri, where he scored five goals.

Como already have forwards like Patrick Cutrone and Assane Diao. Diao has settled in well as a promising prospect, having scored eight goals and provided one assist in 15 games. However, Fabregas wants to bring in someone who has experience and maturity, and Morata's profile meets all the requirements.
